No confirmation on Newcastle being interested, but I came across reports about Man United, the typical thing. “It was a huge blow but I reflect on it as something positive because it shifted the way I saw things. The rehabilitation process is challenging, but it’s beneficial. You adopt practices you didn’t have. Previously I was casual, but I would go to training and then return home, like when you’re a kid. In the facility, all resources are available, so do everything. Work, precaution. Get in the gym. With hip imbalance, correct it. With decent ankle function, enhance it further. Every small aspect: perform them.
“In the first team you’re going to collide with opponents who have experienced contact 200,000 times. Highly robust. Seeing previous pictures: I had slender legs. Injuries are inevitable. Current photos and the change is dramatic. Recovery revealed that. Training finishes, but further effort is needed. Teammates are set, really ready; no exceptions.”
Game time is essential. The striker moved emotionally in 2020, in his early twenties, dropping into the second division. With Sabadell in the 20-21 campaign, he netted three goals in forty appearances. At Amorebieta in the following period, the goals started to flow. “Players go through it: transfers, releases. Should you reverse it, work, believe, and when eventually they need someone for your role, they might come back for you. You have to be ready. When the opportunity came, a fantasy realized.
